The Power of Movement with Rehab4U Cycles
Sitting for long periods can have a significant impact on our bodies and overall well-being. When we become more sedentary, we may notice that activities we once enjoyed become more challenging. This can lead to stiff joints, reduced muscle strength, and even weight gain. Over time, these changes can affect not just our physical health but also our mental well-being, leading to feelings of anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem.

Why Rehab4u Rentals
“To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors.” – Tia Walker
Throughout my career, I have been privileged to support individuals at their most vulnerable moments. One of my greatest honors as a Physiotherapist is being trusted to help people regain their independence and quality of life—no matter how big or small the milestone.
I developed a deep respect and compassion for older adults early in my career. I believe that every person, regardless of age, has value, and even the smallest victories—such as getting out of bed, walking a few meters to the bathroom, assisting caregivers with movement, or lifting a spoon to their mouth—deserve recognition and support.
This insight led me to explore ways to help my clients maintain flexibility and strength, even when they lack the stamina or motivation to exercise independently.
We often focus on recovery and improvement, but as we age, we must also prioritize maintaining our existing function, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. Well-being isn’t just about progress—it’s about preserving what we have for as long as possible.
During this journey, I identified active-passive exercise bikes as an effective tool to promote movement and prevent deconditioning. However, I found that these devices were difficult to obtain in New Zealand due to their high cost, making them inaccessible to many who would benefit from them the most.
Recognizing this challenge, I founded Rehab4u to provide affordable and accessible rehabilitation solutions that help individuals stay active, maintain their mobility, and improve their overall well-being.
